Overview of Typhoon® Armored EV Pickup Truck

Alpine’s bulletproof Typhoon® is where cutting-edge electric technology meets top-tier protection that’s ready to take on any challenge with style and strength. The Typhoon®, an armored version of the Ford F-150 Lightning, is powered by two electric motors providing up to 580hp, allowing for quick acceleration with zero emissions. Despite the added weight of the armoring, the electric range of the armored Lightning remains highly competitive. An enhanced interior features a large touchscreen and comfortable seating along with smart storage inside and out.

High-strength laboratory-tested, certified ballistic steel (opaque) and ballistic composite material (per each application and as needed) are installed in key areas of the Typhoon®, including the doors, pillars, and body panels. All OEM windows are replaced with multi-layered bullet-resistant glass (transparent) that provide protection against AR-15 and many other high-power rifles including 7.62 x 39, 7.62 x 51, 5.56 x 45, and M80 ball rounds, as well as floor protection from two (2) DM51 hand grenades when armored to Level B6+ (Alpine Level A9).

Advanced conversion features include reinforced doors and hinges, power front-windows, run-flat tire inserts, and reinforced suspension and braking systems. Communications & electronics accessories include hidden LED grille lights, a multi-siren system, PA and intercom system, and more.
