Armored to Alpine Level A9 (CEN B6+) with high-strength, certified ballistic steel (opaque armor) and ballistic composite materials installed in key areas of the Typhoon®, including the doors and body panels, while bullet-resistant glass (transparent armor) replaces OEM glass. The bulletproof Typhoon® is protected against AR-15 and many other high-power rifles including 7.62 x 39, 7.62 x 51, 5.56 x 45, and M80 ball rounds, as well as floor protection against two (2) DM51 hand grenades.
